Initially casting the pupils in the role of members of the Senate through them the workshop looks at Rome's development from Kingdom through Republic to Empire considering various aspects including: worship, roads, trade and the army along the way.
Subsequently they are transported across the Mare Brittanicum to experience life in first century Roman Britain.
